Stock Sales.

Messrs Dalgety and Co. report as follows on their sale held on Thursday, at the Alfredton yards :—There was a good entry of cattle and medium of sheep. Business under the hammer was dull. Good hoggets subsequently changed hands at 18s, medium sorts 15s. Cattle were not sought after. The only sales were 18-month steers at 63s to 645.

In connection with the Eketahuna sale, held yesterday, the firm report as follows: — The entry of sheep was composed of hoggets, for which enquiry was not so keen as at the previous sale, only one line selling at 15s. A small pen of fat wethers reached 22s 6d. There was no demand for dairy cattle, of which a large number were submitted. Yearling heifers sold at 31s. About twentyfive pigs were offered, all selling readily, weaners from 5s to 12s, slips 16s.
