The 'County of Ayr's' Boat

Picked Up.

Occupants Greatly Exhausted

Dunedin, This Day.

The Harbour Board's tug, Koputai, picked up the crew of the County of Ayr five miles north by east of Otago Heads at 5.30 a.m.

They had been twenty hours' in a open boat, which contained fifteen people.

The occupants, including the captain's wife and daughter, were much exhausted.

The harboiir-master believes that if the boat had attempted to cross the bar she would have capsized, and all lives would have been lost.

The barque is a total wreck, insurance on the vessel.
