races,
The course is still heavy. There is a large attendance at the meeting :—
Petone Hurdles.—South Star, 1; Dauber, 2 ; Graduated Tax, 3. These were the only starters. Won very easily by several lengths. Time, 3min 3sec. Div., £1 14s.
Tararua Handicap. —Flotilla, 1; Perdita 2 ; Matakokiri, 3. Scratched—Togos. Won by a head ; four lengths between tho second and third horses. Time, lmin 38 l-ssec. Div., £4 9s.
