THE VETERANS' HOME.

.B*k . * " : The annual meeting of the delegates of the Veterans' Association was held in the Municipal Buildings,, Wellington, yesterday, the Governor presiding.

Sir William Russell made an interesting statement as to tho position of the Veterans' Home, and the stale of the capital account at the present time. It was hoped that an effort would be made to increase that fund to such an amount as to render it self-sup-porting. An Auckland lady has promised a donation of £500 on condition that a like amount is collected.

It was decided that an effort be made to secure the help of friends of the movement to guarantee individual yearly contributions in support of the maintenance fund for the next three or four years, by which time the capital account will have reached the sum necessary (£16,000) to support the institution. ,
