Employers' Attitude
(By Telegraph — Press Association.)
Dunedin,. .Last Night,
At the annual meeting of the Employers' Association, Mr J. C. Thomson, who presided and was re-elected president, referring to the Premier's proposed Labour Parliament, and that as President of the New Zealand Federation he could honestly say that the employers of the Colony appeared anxious to do all that laid' in their power to meet, and, if possible, solve the many and serious problems that were ahead. If the Government decided on a commission or . conference with proper representation, and gave ample time for delegates to discuss the subjects with their associations, the employers would be pleased to meet the Government and do their utmost to help in a solution of the problems. His own opinion was that if a commission consisting of a limited number of disinterested persons were appointed with power to call evidence, good might come of it.
