Taratahi Stock Sale

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sale at the Taratahi yards on Monday. There was a good entry of sheep but only a few cattle. Bidding was free, excepting for ewes in lamb, though all were subsequently cleared with the exception of one line. Fat wethers sold from 21s to 225, first-class hoggets 16s, ewes in lamb 18s to 19s 9d, fat and forward ewes 18s 6d, empty cows 44s to 60s, aged cows in calf 42s Gd, yearling heifers 355.
