IMPUTATION ON TELEGRAPH OFFICIALS.

Mr Bedford's Charges

Officers Resent the Allegations.

(lit/ Telcywph — Press Assockttion). Dunedin, Last Night

The telegraph branch of the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association telegraphed to Mr Bedford, M.H.R. for Dunedin, pointing out that his indiscriminate statement as to divulging of Ministerial inemos. casts a special stigma on the telegraph operators in his own constituency, and they therefore asked him to make more definite pronouncement as to the source of his information.

Mr Bedford has replied that his information did not come from Dunedin, or from telegraph operators ever stationed in Dunedin.- He adds that he is not free to indicate the locality.
