CARTERTON HOCKEY CLUB

Annual Meeting ,

(Special to Daily Times.) The annual meeting of the Cartcrton Hockey Club was held last evening in the Council Chambers. There was a large attendance of members, and the chair was occupied by Mr W. Moore. The balancesheet was read and showed receipts to be £10 6s, and expenditure £G 8s od, leaving a credit balance of £3 17s 6d. After considerable discussion the subscription fee was fixed at 5s for old members and for new members joining 2s 6d. It was decided to make arrangements for a hockey picnic. Great interest was manifested in the election of officers, which resulted as follow : — Patron, Mr E. S. Maunsell; President, Mr \V. Moore; Vice-Presidents, Messrs W. C. Buchanan, M.H.R., J. Brown and W. Masson; Captain, Mr A. Lindop ; Vice-Captain, Mr J. Fisher; Secretary, Mr L. Feist; Treasurer, Mr H. D. Wallis ; Auditor, Mr H. Beechey. Management Committee to consist of the Captain, Vice-Captain, Secretary, and Messrs A. Fisher, P. Ashton, IT. iificolson and C. McFaiiane. Match Committee to consist of the Captain, Vice-Captain, and Messrs H. Nicolson and W. Bannin. Other business of an unimportant nature was transacted, and a vote of thanks to the past officers concluded the business.
