PAHIATUA NOTES.

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

The Rev. .Tames Paterson will conduct the services at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church on Sunday next. He is to deliver a lecture in the Church this (Friday) evening, on his travels abroad. There was no sitting of the District Court on Thursday, the only case for hearing having been settled out of Court. A Chinese laundry is to be started here shortly; it should do well, as several of our laundry maids have given up of late. .Business, for some time past, has been very slow, and money very tight. We are anxiously looking forward to brighter times.
