KERRY CATTLE FOR NEW ZEALAND.
The Agent General has informed tho Agricultural Department that the Kerry cattle purchased for tho New Zealand Government were shipped by tho Tongariro, which left London last Saturday. Mr .1. M. Johnston, of Palmerston North, who purchased the cattle in Ireland by instruction from tho Agent-General, has supplied the following particulars ot tho animals :—La Mancha Hero, a, black Kerry Bull, calved May 20 ; sire, Derwent; dam, Lucan Lady. This animal took second prize at the Royal Dublin Show, 1908 ; first prize in the same show in 1904 ; and second prize in tho Royal Show, London, in June this year. He comes ot a renowned strain, and is a really good bull. La Mancha Little Highness, black Dexter-Kerry heifer, calved February 18, 1902; sire, Direcn Darah; first prize Traleo Show, 1908 ; very highly commended Royal Sbow, London, this year. A beautiful heifer of a first-class milking strain. La Mancha Little Fame, red Dexter- Kerry bull, calved 1902 ; first in the Royal Ulster Show and Royal Show, London, this year; from a well-known milking herd and a little beauty.
