SWINDLING OFFICIALS.

Corruption in the United States.

A remarkable feature revealed by the report on the United States Postal scandals, is the fact that although the Government was swindled out of vast sums through the collusion of officials with contractors and the purchase of unnecessary supplies, the corrupt employes sold themselved cheaply, receiving in all less than i>Bo.ooo in ten years.
