HASTINGS RAM FAIR.

The annual ram fair was held at Hastings yesterday, when 2486 flock and 131 atud rams were offered. There was a fair demand for Lincolns, which came forward in large numbers, and these realised up to 3J guineas for flocks, this price being obtained for some bred by the New Zealand and Australian Land Company, of Clyde Vale, Otago, and up to 30 guineas for a fine stud ram bred by Messrs Perry Bros, Mastcrton. Border Leicester sold well, prices ranging up to 7 guineas for flock and 5 guineas for stud. A number of Corriedale flock Tarns brought from 1 to 3 guineas. There were a large number of Roinneys, and prices for these ranged up to 4} guineas for flock and 5 guineas for studs. English Leicesters and Shropshires were offered in only small numbers.
