Serious Casualties.
(Beeeived To-day, at 8.43 a.m.) New Yokk, Nov. 1. A gravel car at Indianopolis, running down an inclino into a siding, telescoped the car of a passing train containing the Purdue University football team which, with many students, was travelling to contest the State championship with Indiana University. Fifteen were killed, and fifty injured. Many were horribly mutilated. Tho grief and horror of the students ware increased by the surgeons being compelled to perform amputations on the spot.
