THE WAIMANGU GEYSER.

Auckland, This Day,

Messrs Warbrick (the well-known guide) and Buckeridge (mate of the Tilikum) crossed the Waimangu geyser in a boat on Monday. The geyser had been playing up till 6.30 a.m. The two men got into the boat at 1.15 p.m., and were in the geyser twelve minutes taking soundings. The greatest depth was 48ft, and the geyser was found to be 80yds broad and 134 yds long. On landing, the men were heartily cheered by a large number of spectators.
