-♦ ' > (From Our Own Correspondent). A well-known Wellington gentleman has purchased Mr T. P. Hewitt's prqperty at Kumeroa. . The Rev. J. Blackburne has bought Mr Niolson's farm on Pinfoldrroad. The rev. gentleman has been ordered conj.plete rest for his throat, The Bank refuses to release the Trustees of the Woodville Jockey Club, who resigned as a protest some time baok. ■ The Woodville Main Sohool was the sceno of a most interesting ceremony on Wednesday afternoon. At the invitation of tbe headmaster, Mr Stevenson, Hi§ Worship the Mayor (Mr H. Burnett) presented the silver medals won by a squad from the sohool in charge of Sergt, Holder. These seventeen boys won tbe prize for physical drill against all comers, and we are vory proud of their achievement. His Worship, in presenting the medals, said that " we were fortunate indeed as a community in having Mr Stevenson as a headmaster. As a drill instructor we have tho very best, and the result at the Show bears out this statement."
