We hear that the public meeting to establish a Woollen Mill, convened by a modest announcement in another column, is promoted by the Farmers' Union. This, so far, is good; and, we true't, will tend to create interest in a very desirable movement. A venture of this kind is, however, almost too big an undertaking even for a Farmers' Union. It requires the united energy of all town and country settlers, with a few capable business men in the lead. For many years past we have advocated the formation of a Company to manufacture wool; and wo are fully alive to the advantages of such a project, as well as to the difficulties to be faced in establishing one on a sound basis. Probably, the first step is the collecting of all necessary data essential for such an undertaking.
