GLADSTONE NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent)
Tho road between the Taueru bridge and Pike's gate is in a disgraceful state, and hardly passable for light wheeled traffic. It is a pity that this piece of road has been left undone so long. Tho newly-metalled piece is keeping in splendid order, and one is sorry when he has to leave it and take to the mud.
A social in aid of the fund of St. Mark's Chuich, Carterton, is to be held here on Friday, 10th inst., and no doubt will prove as great a success as tho last.
