MAURICEVILLE NOTES.

Mr D. Manning, third, son of Mr George Manning, of Dreyerton, was married to Miss Sarah Jorgensen, youngest daughter of Mr Jens Jorgensen, of Mauriceville, The wedding ceremony was performed by the Bey. Legarth (Lutheran Minister), at Mr Jorgensen's residence. The bride, who was handsomely attired in white silk and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, was given away by her father. She was attended by two bridesmaids. Miss Manning and Mr Annie Jensen of Pleckville, both wearing pretty cream dresses. Mr W. Manning officiated as best man. After the ceremony a sumptuous breakfast was partaken of by a largo number of guests. A grand social and dance to commemorate the affair took place at the Choral Hall in the evening, excellent music being supplied by Mr Frank McKenzie, of Masterton. Mr R. Russell, Station Master, is away at present on a holiday trip to Australia. Mr Hawthorne, of Wellington, is doing relief duty in Mr Russell's absence.
