It is understood that the Federal Parliamentary Commission will recommend the Carcoar site for the Federal capital. [Carcoar is a postal, telegraph, savings bank and money* order township, and railway station on the Blayney-Harden line, prettily situated in a valley, on* the banks of the Belubula River, 150 miles (183 postal) to the west of Sydney, and about 33 miles from Eathurst, in the County of Bathurst, and electorate of Cowra. The river interBeets the town, and is spanned by a bridge of commodious width. The district is mainly agricultural, producing wheat, maize, barley, oats, potatoes, rye, tobacco, wine, dairy produce, bacon anu hams. Iron, copper and cobalt are also found in abundance in the district, which is remarkable for the variety pf its minerals. Carcoar is the j3.n_r-of ft Municipal district, proclaimed Pqvember 11th, 18f8, having 17 miles of roads and property of the annual value of -£3,200. The more prominent buildings of the town comprise a Roman Catholic chapel and large convent, a neat rural-looking •nhnrnh nf En-land, a Presbyterian Church,
