Taratahi Stock Sale.

Messrs F. 11. Wood and Sons, Ltd., held their weekly sale at tho Taratahi

yards yesterday (Tuesday). There wih a good yarding of sheep and cattle, the latter being particularly well represented. In sheep the entry was chictly of breeding owes, for which there was good inquiry, and excepting one line of nine hundred, all found sale under the ham-

nier. In cattle some nice bullocks were yarded, but failed to find a buyer. There was a good entry of young stock, which sold readily. Prices ruled—For good lambs, 8s 3d ; others, 6s to 5s ; breeding ewes, 9s 3d to 7s 5d ; Southdown rams, 4gs; Shropshires, 2|»s; 18-month steers, 112s; 15 to 18-month steers, 78s to 71s Od; 12-months, 61s; fat cows, 115s to 112s 6d; cows in calf, 82s 6d ; weaner pigs, 9s.
