The Social Committee appointed to carry out arrangements in connection with the Albion Football Club's social met last night, and attended to various matters. Mr Yon Koisenborg's terms for supplying the music wcro accepted. It was also decided to present medals at tho social, and andther meeting is to be held on Monday.
My Carterton correspondent writes : — ' Our southern printers arc looking forward with great anxiety to Saturday, when tho annual match between North and South will take place. Our end have a good team, but the majority will bo very " soft " and consequently will soon cry enough. Tho game should prove an interesting one, and as " our boys " havo secured tho services of Mr E. McKenzie as referee, both sides will havo tho advantage to show superiority.' [With regard to tho referee Mr D. Nicholson has already been appointed.]
