Protest From Small Shopkeepers

Wellington, This Day,

A deputation of small shopkeepers waited on the Acting-Premier to ask that the law be not amended in tho direction of early closing. They stated that most of the smaller shopkeepers did the greater part of their business in tho evening after six. Sir Joseph Ward promised to give tho representation every consideration.
