A party of five Carterton cyclists made the journey from here to Palliscr Bay on Sunday—forty-two miles—iv a little over three hours, including stoppages.

A spark from tho engino of the up train set fire to a grass paddock at South Carterton, yesterday morning. Luckily but little damage was done.

The remains of the late Angus McLeod were buried yesterday, when there was a large attendance at the grave.
