MASTKIITOX STOCK SALE. Messrs F. 11, 'Wood and Sons hold their usual fortnightly sale at the Mastcrton yards yesterday (Wednesday). Oil account of the very heavy rain and swollen rivers, several lines enfererf d : .d nof come forward, tljough. the yarding was a fiwly good one. There was a JnrA number of buyers present, whbJßjt chiefly attracted by the advcrtiscdT|!.e,s of dairy heifers, most of which' were unable to be yarded, but which have been entered for the firm's next Masterton sale. All but one lino of sheep and cattle were sold, mostsy under the hammer. Prices rujed asunder:—Fat and forward ewes, lis Oil; ewes iu lamb, 8s Cd; springing heifers, from' 83s' : j)dj heifers in calf, 76s 'to iifis; yearll'.igstocrs, 53s 6d; calves i)i)s 6d to 255; fat cows, 90s.
