THE BRIGGS TRAGEDY.
A MAD LOVER, (Recekcd December 15,10.20 p.m.) Svuxky, December 15. During the inquest Briggs was very violent, crying out, " My love, my love, where ure you ?" Although handcuffed it took four policemen to hold him. After the adjournment of Hie inquest he struggled and foughtviolently aud had to becarried to the police station. After committing the deed ho tried to shoot himself before essaying drowning,
