Notices liave been posted iii the collieries stating that tbe bowing rate is fixed at 2s Ud per ton, with coal at selling price of 7s fid per ton or under, and nn advance of one penny in the hewing rate for each three pence in selling price. Miners will only be engaged individually, preference being given to former employes, bnt it is stipulated, that work must be resumed by tbo 20th inst.
i The Delegate Board after considering the notice, decided that the terms in regard to individual employment were indefinite and recommended that each lodge should appoint a deputation to wait on the' managers and obtain a clearer definition.
