ALFREDTON ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Alfredton Road Hoard was held on Saturday last, ■ Present; Messrs H, Dihid, (Chairman), J. Boustead, Eli Smith, H. Warron andS. M, George. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed,

The engineer to the Wnirarapa N. 0. Council wrote, stating that plans of Tiraumea bridge had been sent to the Assistant Surveyoi-General on the 7th July. The Department of Lands and Survey advised the Board that in the Land Bill, non-payment of rates would be treated as a breach of conditions;, and subject the occupier to forfeiture. The Clerk was instructed to take the necessary steps to raise the loan of £2500 for Pori road.

Beard, £2 2s j Treasury, interest on loans, £7B 4a 7d; J. Payton and Co., £3 6s 3d; P. H, Dundordale,£2los; R.E. Hornblow, Ms; J, R, Feer, 17s Gd; stumps, £2; John Pengram, £lO ss; T. S. George, £llßs.

The Clerk was authorised to sue for nil rates in arrear, after ten days' notice.
