LIFE ASSURANCE.
[To the Editor of the Wairasam Daily. Carterton, Oct. 16. . Sm,—l see by your issue of the 16th m S t.,tkt i »lrClapcott ) the Government Lite Assurance agent is in Masterton again, and it is to be hoped for the l*nefit of tl,e public, he will properly explainthe best and the most profitable way for a person to insure his li c e who may wish to insure or his own advantage as well as I tor that of his wife and family. For instance : a life policy may he made payable' at death to one's wife and family, or if may be made payable to the assured himself when he reaches a certain aae, or could be left by will to anyone he chose in the event of him dying before that age. I ho da valuable life policy, but through I the bad advice of an agent, it is utterly/ useless to me as far as lam personally' concerned, as it is payable at death only.'' Had the agent done his duty, and properly explained the different tables to me, my policy would be very valuable now. I should not like to hear of any working man making the same mistake as I did and that is my reason for sending you tlusnote.-lam, <k, ' W. Hercock.
