GOVERNMENT MEASURES.
The following are the new Government measures now standing on the Order Jfoper at the House of Representatives •- 1. Hon. Mr Hall-A Bill to amend the Law relating to Electors qualified to Vote a flections ef the Members of the House of Representatives, and to make provision for the Regulation and Conduct of such elections. 2 Hon Mr Hall-A Bill for the prevention of Corrupt Practices at Elections of Members of the House of Representatives, and to make provision for the Trial of Election Petitions. 3 Hon. Mr Hall-A Bill to provide for the Management of Public Hospitals and Charitable Institutions. 4', Billto amend lhe Electric Telegraph Act, 1875" A Ho "' Mr f ™ A Bill to regulate he Branding of Stock, and the t.on of the Brands used for that purpose. 6. Hon. Mr Rolleston-A Bill for setting apart of Land for Village Settlements, and to provide for the Sale and Occupation of the same, 7. Hon. Mr Rolleston-A Bill for the suppression of Gaming and Bettinghouses and for the more effectual Abolition of Lotteries.
8. Hon. Mr Rolleston-A Bill to amend "The District Courta Act, 1858" 6. Hon. Mr Rolleaton-A Bill for the bet er Protection of Pish, Oysters, and in' !™e Preservation of Fisheries. 10. Mr Wakefield-A Bill to tor the Registration of Dogs TW 11. Mr Wakefield-A Bill to lend Hie Registration of Births Act, 1875 >' 12. Hon Major Atkinson-A Bill to amend "The Public Revenues Act, 1878" and to move that the Standing Orders be suspended for the purpose of passing the JJill through its vavious stages, 13. Hon. Major Atkinson-A Bill to enforce and collect the Duties on the Mates of Deceased Persons. _ 15. Hon. Major Atkinson-A Bill to give effect in New Zealand to Probates and Letters of Administration granted in the other Australasian Colonies,
