Fined 5s and 7s costs. Same v A. Whyte.—Same offence. Fined 6s and 7s costs. Same v J. Faruqhar.—Furious riding round a corner. Fined 5s and 7s costs.
Same v DrHoskings.— Driving withoui lights. Fined 5s and 7s costs. Same v P. Cockery.—Same offence. Fined 5s and 7s costs.
Same v Jago.—Same offence. Fined 5s and j's costs. E. Kibbletvhite vJ, McDuff.-Charge of abusive -language. The plaintiff called as a witness A. P, Feilding, who deposed: —I was serving in my shop on the day in question and witnessed the conversation betvrccu the parties, He did not see plaintiff raise his hand, Defendant; Will you take your oath of that. Witness: Yes, a double oath if you like. Fined L 4, and 7s costs. Nioholls v G. Russell.—Debt, Mr Beard for plaintiff, Mr Bunny for defendant. This was a claim for work done for defendant to Messrs Dalrymple's building, which was destroyed by fire. Plaintiff called Mr Coker, who deposed : that happening to be there two or three days before the fire he had ample time to inspect the amount of work done and thought the job was half finished. The case occupied the Court a considerable tune, when after a great deal of cross examination the case was adjourned till next sitting.
