CASTLEPOINT HIGHWAY BOARD.
A meeting of the above Board was held at Tinui on Saturday last. Present—Messrs Butters (Chairman), Groves, Bellis, Duffy, Bennct, and Greenland. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. treasurer's statement. The Treasurer submitted a statoment of accounts of the Board for the year ended 31st March last, prepared for inspection of the Provincial Auditor. From Mr Oakley, re payment of Whareama bridge contract. From Mr W. H. Smith, re - printing forms. ' From Messrs Leach Brothers, re roads through their property. From Treasury, ro returns for the year ended 31st March last. RESOLUTIONS. That the Clerk inform Mr Wakelin that the Board decline his offer. That Mcszrs Leach Bros, letter be acknowledged. The Clerk inform Mr AV. H. Smith that the Board does not require any printing at present. That the granting of £IOO for expenditure on the Pakowai road be postponed until next meeting, and in the meantime' the overseer shall examine and report upon the work required. That the general rate of Is in the £l, struck at last meeting, shall he duo and payable on the 7th day of June, and the collector shall appoint a place in each Wai*d where the same shall be received, after giving the usual notice to the ratepayers.
