A .considerable number of lots in tlie 'towns of Tawanga, -Kanpiri, Ohiwi, Weymouth.- Opotiki, and the Bay of Islands, were sold, At the Supreme Court to-day Patrick Fen-;, . nell was sentenced tonine months' imprison-,. ment with hard labor for stealing from -the person. ~ Sh natives being concerned in stealing-am vox --were discharged, there nofe, being sufficient evidence to convict.
