WHAREAMA
(From our own. Correspondent.) Whareltma, Jail. 23, The Castlcpoint extension road is now at an indefinite standstill.' Messrs Johnston & Co., through whose property this line shouldrun, and the Board being still unable to agree. ' I am pleased to observe that at length the contractors for the' Mungapakeha road are enabled to allow traps and drays to traverse the route through to Gibson's bridge, where it •is necessary to cross in order to reach Tenui. Messrs Scholfield and Taplin, contractorsfor layilig the timber for Wliareama Bridge, are taking advantage of this, and are using every possible means to have the timber on 'the' ground ere the .bad weather sets in. The Kiwi, consigned to Messrs Kenrick and Co.; arrived and discharged cargo with the usual dispatch to-day. Throughout the past year this boat has been' regular as to time, and iKenrick and Co; have unloaded her with great alacrity.
