SYDNEY this day

Within fifteen minutes last night fire station officer Menzies, assisted by a policeman and the South Head signalman, prevented two men from throwing themselves over- a gap in Watson’s Bay. One man, maddened by drink, was within a few yards of the cliff when Menzies grabbed and managed to hold him till a policeman arrived. The other man told a story of an unhappy life.
