THE VANNES-SARLES SECTION

(Per Press Association—Copyright 1 LONDON, June 24. In the Vannes-Sarles section of the Tour de France, there were 116 starters. The winners were Aleyon, Franiz, Leducq, Meertens, Rebry. Neuhard, Vervaecke, whose time was 6hrs 23min 14sec. Opperman ’ was 20th, in 6hrs 44min 30sec, and Watson 54th in 7hrs 7min 7sec. Extreme beat prevailed, the riders suffering fatigue.

Louvet and Tam caught Opperman and rode on opposite sides for twenty miles. Opperman drew away, and punctured, aud Louvet passed him again.

In the aggregate, Opperman is 12th and Watson 18th.
