Pm Press Association—Copyright. MELBOURNE, June 25. The Senate passed the Referenda Bill. MELBOURNE, June 26. The Commonwealth Council of Federated Unions agreed to support the referendum proposals. The Australian Workers’ Union has taken the lead in the anti-referendum campaign,’ and has prepared voluminous pamphlets* which are being distributed. MELBOURNE, June 27. Two serious accidents, luckily unattended by loss of life, occurred on Saturday evening at Carlton. An electric tramcar crashed into a stationary tram, and twenty-seven passengers were injured. At Brunswick, two motor bu;es collided and nine were injured. In both cases the vehicles, which were football specials, were heavily laden with passengers.
