KING REFUUSES TO ABDICATE. Per Presg Association—Copyright. ATHENS, March 23. The proclamation of the Republic is fixed for March 25. A plebiscite will be taken in April on the question of sanctioning the abolition of the dynasty. Four hundred army officers have been dismissed for complicity m the anti-revolution movement. LONDON, March 23. The Athens correspondent of the “Dally Express” says King George caused consternation among the members of the Cabinet by his point blank refusal to abdicate until a plebiscite Indicates popular will in favour of that course. The Royalists are convinced that an untramelled vote will give 11 large majority favouring the Monarchy. The Republicans themselves do not expect a majority; nevertheless, the Premier is arranging immediately the proclamation of a Reu.jlic.
