A Chicago message states that tfie prosecution will demand the death penalty on eight prominent Labour leaders who are indicted for murder as the result of the dynamiting of public buildings. They are not charged with the actual commission of the crime, but with inciting others to fight, resulting in the killings. (At Chicago two police were shot dead and three buildings were dynamited by Labour extremists opposing the arbitrators’ award in the building traders’ dispute. The police were killed in endeavouring to prevent the bombing of a glass plant, the terrorists firing a volley.
