Ordinary Telegrams. From any station to any station: For the first twelve words or less, including address and signature, 1/-. For every additional word, Id.

Urgent Telegrams. For the first twelve words or less, including address and signature, 2/-. For every additional word, 2d. Sunday Rates. Ordinary: For the first twelve words or less 2s; for every additional word 2d. Urgent: For the first twelve words or less 4s; for every additional word 4d. Night Letter Telegram Service. Under this system provision is made for the transmission of such telegrams between any two telegraph offices in the Dominion subject to the following conditions: The rate is to be 1/6 for first 36 words or fraction thereof, and Jd for each word in excess of that number. Night letter telegrams will be accepted for thansmission throughout the day up to one hour of the time of closing of either the office of origin or destination, whichever is the earlier. Thus ,a message either to or from an office closing at 5 p.m. must not be accepted later than 4 p.m. Such telegrams are to be transmitted to the office of destination throughout the day as opportunity offers. Upon arrival at the office of destination, they are to be held until the hour of closing, and then treated as letters

to be delivered by the first postman’s delivery next morning. Those addressed to private boxes to be placed in a letter box on the day of lodgment. Messages must be written in plain English language.
