"THE SEEDS OF SUCCESS.

At the Winter Show ho IJ at Hawera, tJie firm of F. Cooper, Ltd., of Wellington, Blenheim* Chchurch, etc., had a, magniiiicent display of the produce of Cooper's Seeds. A feature of the display is Hie wonderfully fine assortment of splendid specimens of practically all the [principal vegetables and also turnips, swedes, mangels, lucerne, Sudan grass and all tho principal farm crops. Referring to Messrs Coopers' 'exhibit at the recent Palmerston North Winter the "Evening Post" says:— "For many years past Messrs Coopers have demonstrated that'lVZ.. grown seed is far and away superior lo the imported article. It is fresher and of stronger, germinating power, and, being thoroughly acclimatised, it is more suited to the X.Z,» climatic conditions than imported seed can be. On the firm's stand were to be- seen beautiful specimens of Cooper's Long Red mangel and Cooper's Jersey Queen, unquestionably the besrf in 'the Show. On the Government, stand in 'he same hall was to be seen a big display of roots grown from Cooper's Seeds, and compared with those from other firms and imported strains the. specimens from Cooper's Seeds are miles ahead." The leading prizetakers at this Show in the vegetable root class were Mr T., "Webb, Palmerston, (who secure'd 29 prizes); Mr A. Passey, Pohangina; and Mr Woolford, Rongotea. All these growers used Cooper's Seeds almost exclusively. A number of the' other leading prizetakers were also successful with the produce of Cooper's Seeds. In the Government trials reported in the "Journal of Agriculture," August 21st, 1016, mangels grown from' Cooper's specially selected seeds cropped 7 71 tons per acre and beat all other competitors. The; cxtentf of the business of this firm may he guaged by the, fact that they! require to sow each season in N.Z« alone, over 3,000 acres of land 1 exclusively for seed purposes. All of Cooper's Seeds are tested for germination by the N.Z. Department of Agriculture and also by their own " independent tests, and nothing is allowed to go out until thesei (t ests prove satisfactory. Cooper's Seed's arc stocked in bulk and! in packets by the principal merchants and seedsmen in all parts of New Zealand, but it is necessary to be sure thalt you really obtain Cooper's Seeds—the "Seeds of Succelss."
