The Missing Man Robbins.
;—:o: :—. FOUND" ON THE HILLS BEHIND • . HANMER. AN AIMLESS WANDERER. Three detectives left Hanmet on Tuesday morning on the third search for a man who has been for the last two months wandering apparently aimlessly about the bush in the back country, in the vicinity of the Ada station, sotae. 35 or 40 miles from Hanmer. The party went towards the spot where the man was last seen, afid, after many difficulties, owing to the rough weather, they discovered him by smoke, sitting under a tent fly, roughly stretched across some birch bush. The man was in a pitiable condition, and hardly recognisable as a civilised human being. His hair 'wss six inches long, his beard was matted with dirt, and bis toes were frost ten. He was forthwith placed on a spare horse, and takenlo Ada station, distant ten or twelve miles, which was reached after a rather serious mishap, two riders having their horses washed from under them in the Henry river. After many other adventures the party reached Hanmer late on Friday evening. Sergt. Morgan has been advised that the man is identical with Jas. Robbins who disappeared from six months ago.
