Thursuay, November 23.

A person was charged with procuring a bottle of whisky whilst being a prohibited person. Mr Moore appeared for the defendant and pleaded guilty, but said he had been informed that the order was issued on the same day as the offence was committed.

After hearing the evidence of Constable Wade whojproduced the bottle which defendant had had in his possession, the Bench inflicted a flue of £1 and 7s costs. CIVIL CASES. Sharp v. Guinness and LeCren. In this case, in which evidence for both sides was taken at previous sitting of the Court, Mr Moore appeared tor plaintiff and judgment was again deferred.

A Allan v. W. E. Sparks, claim £23 11s lOd. Mr Nichol for plaintiff; no appearance of defendant. Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed and costs, £3. H. Dunn v. Sullivan, claim £5. Mr Nichol for plaintiff. Judgment for amount claimed and costs, £1 0s 6d.

W. Evans v. John Albert, claim £5 18s 6d. After hearing the evidence of plaintiff His Worship made an order for the payment of 5s per month and 10s per month after December 21st.

Lomas v. Reid, claim £22 19s. Mr Moore for plaintiff, Mr Nichol fur defendant. In this case counsel for the parlies informed His Worship that they had arrived at a basis of agreement, and the case was accordingly settled out of Court.

One applicant for the old age pension was refused on account of an unfavourable report by the police and one was granted in full.
