Football.
The opening of the football season of the Waxmate club took place on Thursday in the local Paris, sides being chosen by A. Rattray (Captain) and C, J. Goldstone. . The game resulted in a win for the latter’s team by two tries and a goal from a try to nil, tries being obtained by Hayes, Pulton and Rout. Fulton kicking the goal. Mr B. Presland made a very impartial referee, and there was a fair attendance of spectators. Another practice will be held next Thursday afternoon.
