A DETERAIINED SUICIDE, HAMILTON. November 23.—Ernest Morris, aged 41, a well known master builder told a neighbour that he felt that he was going mad. The neigh--I,onr stayed alt night with him and both went out to milk yesterday morn ing. Morris then drank some poison and rushed to the house and cut his throat with a razor. At the inquest a verdict of temporarily insane was returned. BAKERS’ DISPUTE SETTLED. WELLINGTON. November 22. The bakers’ dispute is settled, and a new agreement has been arrived at practically on the lines of the old award, with an all-round increase in wages of 5s per week. THE NEW ZEALAND BOARD OF TRADE. WELLINGTON, November 23. Some hundreds of applications have been received by the Government for positions on the Board of Trade. The Prime Minister said to-day that it was expected that the applications would be classified and dealt with this week.
