A Zorich telegram states that a Turkish transport with live hundred aboard struck a mine in the Sea of MannorU and was sunk. Nearly all o.T hoard were drowned. TURKISH COMMNUIQUE. AMSTERDAM, Nov. 22. The “Kolniche Zeitung” says that reports from Constantinople state that the Allies have begun a great offensive at the Dardanelles. HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. SI C( ESSFI'L AREOPLANE a ttacks. WET.LINOTON, Nov. 23. The High Commissioner reports, from London, under date of November 22nd, at 1!.3.i p.m., as toliows:— In the Dardanelles two Rritish aero11 bines successfully attacked the railway station at Ferejik, near Enos, on Friday. One machine was brought down by the enemy’s fire. The pilot managed to land on the marshes on the opposite side of the river where he burnt hifr machine. The second pilot landed l«-side him and brought him away, just in time to osciipc capture. At Russels Top in the Anzac zone where the Turks recently fired a mine, we occupied on Saturday part of the enemy's underground works. A tight occurred underground. Two Turks were shot Fiy our officers, and several others were killed with bombs. THE WORK OF THE TRAWLERS. MAGNIFICENT NORTH SEA FISHER MEN. LONDON, Nov. 21. -Mr. Asliinead Harriett pays a tribute to the work of the trawlers in the .Mediterranean. They are used for patrolling the linos of communication and conveying supplies to the troops from Minims to Gallipoli, The North Sea fishermen are a magnificent race and contemptuous of others regarding seamanship as a lost art- except to themselves. For eight months they have swept the Straits and braved shells and submarnies. They hhvji made thousands of trips, with the loss of only one trawler, which was stink by shell fire at Anzae.
