The memorial service to the late Lord Stratbcoiiu in Westminster Abbey. was largely attedned. Their .Majesties, the King and Queen, Queer Alexandra, and the Duke of Connaught were represented.

The Hon. Thomas Mackenzie and the Agents-General were also present. The pall-bearers 'included the Duke of Argyll, Lord Lansdowne, the Earl of Aberdeen, and the Hon. L. V. Harcourt.

Queen Alexandra’s wreath was autographed “In memory of the Em pire’s kind benefactor.”

The Commonwealth sent a wreath

After the ceremony the procession moved across London, the body being interred at Highgate.
