A man was arrested to-day on a charge of violently assaulting and robbing an old man named Olson, last night. • Olsen stated to the police that a young man went to his room last night and said: “You have got to shout." Olsen refused, and tho intruder caught him by the throat and threw him on the bed. He snatched up Olsen’s watch and chain and took 25s in silver. Olsen called for help, but the intruder tightened his grip on tho old man’s throat till ho became insensible and collapsed. The- arrested man had in his possesion a watch and chain which Olsen said ho identified. Accused was remanded for a week. *
