One declares that tho statement is utterly absurd as Now Zealanders get along here better than Australians do in New Zealand. Another says New Zealanders are generally in demand owing to their grit and initiative. A third says the Australians are most cordial in rogai'd to kith and kin of the Dominion. CLOSER FEDERATION' OF CHURCHES. 110BARI, Alay 3.—Tho Presbytery of Hobart adopted a resolution favouring the closer federation of all the prominent churches in preference to the present scheme of union of Presbyterians, Alethodists, and Congrcgationalists.
