BUENOS AYRES, April, 19. The Fram, the exploring ship of Captain Amundsen, whom it took to the Antarctic regions in order that he might make a dash for the South Pole, has arrived hero from Antarctica.

MAWSON’S ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION.

LONDON, April 18.— Commander Charcot, the explorer, has offered Dr. Mawson his vessel for £B,OOO. Dr Mawson suggests that the Government or a philanthropist might seize the opportunity of presenting it to Australia, inasmuch as it is perfectly designed for polar and scientific exploration. The Prince of Monaco presents Dr Mawson with a deep sea dredging apparatus. Mr Denman (Premier of Queensland), has promised a subscription.
