TENNIS.

The opening of the All Saints tennis courts and the return match between the All Saints and Ross Tennis Clubs took place yesterday under very favourable conditions and resulted in a win for Ross by 27 panics. The Ross team arrived at 11 a.m., and the Rev. Leaeli in a few, well chosen words, declared the. courts open for play and extended a hearty welcome to the visitors. Mr liruce acknowledged the welcome and took advantage of the occasion to present Miss Ryan, i f the Ross Club, with a tennis racquet, the reward for superior play in them Ladies Championship Tournament. During the day the courts were visited by a largo number of members of Hokitika’s Senior Club and many favourable comments were made by both players and spectators on Mr Cooling’:’, excellent work and the complete arrangements made by the All Saints committee.
